Miloslav Gajdo\u0161) and then from the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (prof. Ji\u0159\u00ed Bortl\u00ed\u010dek). During his study he participated in a number of interpretation competitions and won a lot of awards.<\/p>\n<p>Miloslav Jel\u00ednek was for 23 years a chief of the double bass group in the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra. At present he is professor at the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno and at Music Academy&nbsp; Karol Lipinski in&nbsp; Wroclaw, Poland. He is founder and chairmen of the Czech Society of Double Bassists. He cooperates with many chamber ensembles &#8211; (for example Jan\u00e1\u010dek String Quartet, Brindisi String Quartet, Wallinger Quartet). Every year in September he organizes International Double Bass Convention in Brno, Czech Republic. He has made a great number of radio, television and CD recordings (the last CD \u2013 Double Bass in Three Centuries of Music) and together with his wife Marcela Jel\u00ednkov\u00e1 (piano) give extensively double bass recitals in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. He performs as soloist with symphony orchestras \u2013 (Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, Brno Chamber Orchestra, Czech Chamber Soloists and many others). Also he is leader of the Brno Double Bass Orchestra. Miloslav Jel\u00ednek presents many contemporary pieces, which were written for him. For example Ji\u0159\u00ed Matys, Tony Osborne, Milo\u0161 \u0160t\u011bdro\u0148, Franti\u0161ek Emmert, Leo\u0161 Faltus and the other. From year 2008 Miloslav Jel\u00ednek is honorary professor at The China Conservatory of Music in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>Miloslav Jel\u00ednek is giving numerous clinics and master classes through the world (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, Latvia, China, Singapore, USA etc&#8230;) and takes part at the international competitions as a&nbsp; member of a jury.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miloslav Jel\u00ednek graduated from the Conservatoire in Krom\u011b\u0159\u00ed\u017e (prof.
